How it works

Medical absorbable threads are placed under the skin. Barbed lifting threads give an immediate lift; as the threads dissolve, they stimulate collagen in the dermis, so firmness, fine lines and texture continue to improve. The threads used here are PDO absorbable threads that hold the highest safety classification (class 4) from Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and are broken down and absorbed over about six months.

Designed before placement

Thread lifting is one of the clinic's signature treatments. The direction and position of each thread are designed around the balance of your face and the change you want, aiming for a natural line rather than a pulled look. Treatment is one-to-one with an experienced doctor.

Types used

Lifting threads for the face (by number of lines); Jamber threads for the nasolabial folds, under the eyes and wrinkles; and Topsco threads for the nose bridge and tip, often combined with filler.

Questions

How long does it last?
The threads dissolve over about six months; the collagen they stimulate continues to support the skin after that. The doctor explains the expected course for your face.
Will it look pulled?
Design is done first precisely to avoid that — the aim is a natural line that suits your face.
