How Dr. Kim works

  • It starts with listeningThe same skin concern means different things to different people. At a direct consultation with the doctor the clinic asks what bothers you most, what you have had done before, the look you want and your recovery schedule — then weighs what you hope for against what is medically achievable.
  • The skin and the whole face, togetherYour current condition is explained from the skin-analysis data and the doctor's own examination. Changes to one area are planned with the balance of the whole face, existing asymmetry and your individual features in mind — respecting your own impression and aiming for natural change.
  • Design is part of the treatmentFor treatments that need design, such as lifting and fillers, the concern areas, left–right balance and the change you want are checked before anything is planned. The plan is shared with you, and during treatment the doctor checks that it is being followed.
  • Explained fully, decided togetherThe purpose of a treatment, the change you can expect, its limits, recovery and possible side effects are explained. Priorities are set around your skin, your health, your budget and your schedule — and a decision to postpone or not to treat is respected.
  • Thoroughness is attention to small thingsAs a female physician, the lead doctor listens closely to the concerns and discomfort patients describe. Injection points, quantities, areas and the skin's response are checked one step at a time, and pain or discomfort is checked and adjusted for as treatment goes on.
  • Understanding makes treatment comfortableSo that an unfamiliar language does not leave overseas patients anxious, an interpreter is provided — not only at consultation but during treatment, relaying each step and helping you ask questions or say when something is uncomfortable.
  • Responsibility continues after treatmentPrecautions and the expected course of recovery are explained. Questions and unusual symptoms during recovery are listened to and passed to the medical team, with follow-up arranged where needed. Patients flying home are told how to get in touch afterwards.
